How to Apply

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has released a notification for 07 vacancies of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) for paramedical roles including Radiographer, Pharmacist, OT Technician, and Dental Technician.

The application window is open from March 21, 2026 to May 4, 2026 (extended date). Here is the step-by-step process to apply:

1. Visit the Official Portal : Go to the official recruitment website at recruitment.ssb.gov.in.

2. Select the Post : Click on the "Apply Online" link specifically for ASI (Non-GD) Recruitment 2026.

3. Registration : Click "Register" and enter your basic details (name, DOB, mobile, email) to generate a Registration ID and Password.

4. Fill Application : Log in with your credentials and complete the personal, educational, and experience details as required for the specific ASI post.

5. Upload Documents : Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and professional diploma/experience certificates.

6. Pay Application Fee : Pay the fee of ₹100 (for UR/OBC/EWS) via online mode; SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are exempted.

7. Final Submission : Review all details, submit the form, and download/print the final confirmation page for future reference.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) – Candidates undergo a race (1.6 km in 6.5 mins for males; 800m in 4 mins for females) followed by height, chest, and weight measurements.

• Step 2 : Written Examination (CBT) – A 150-mark objective test divided into Part-I (General Knowledge, Math, Reasoning, English/Hindi) and Part-II (Technical/Paramedical subject related to the post).

• Step 3 : Skill / Trade Test – A practical assessment to evaluate professional competency in your specific technical field (e.g., Radiography, Pharmacy, etc.).

• Step 4 : Document Verification (DV) – Candidates must provide original educational certificates, diplomas, experience certificates, and category proofs for authenticity checks.

• Step 5 : Medical Examination – A Detailed Medical Examination (DME) to ensure candidates meet the physical and mental health standards required for paramilitary service.

• Step 6 : Final Merit List – The final selection is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination, subject to qualifying in all other stages.
