NVS Class 11 Admission 2025 : Eligibility Criteria 

  • Candidates must be residents of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located and should have passed the 10th grade exam from a government or government-recognized school in that district. The candidate must apply for admission to the Navodaya school in the same district where they reside.

How to Apply Online

  1. Visit Official Site : Go to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti website or cbseitms.nic.in when the notification is released.
  2. Find Link : Click on the "Class XI Lateral Entry Registration 2026-27" link.
  3. Register : Enter basic details and Class 10 information.
  4. Upload Documents : Scan and upload your photo, signature, and parent's signature in specified formats (JPG/JPEG, size limits apply).
  5. Fill Details : Provide academic details and select up to 3 JNVs and 2 streams (Science, Commerce, Humanities, Vocational).
  6. Submit & Print : Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation slip for future reference.

Selection Process

  1. Eligibility : Must have passed Class 10 from a recognized school in the district where the JNV is located.
  2. The Test (LEST) : Admission is based on the JNVST Class 11 Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST).
  3. Exam Format : Offline, OMR-based test conducted in February 2026.
  4. Subjects : Includes Mental Ability, English, Science, Social Science, and Mathematics (20 questions, 20 marks each, 30 mins per section).
  5. Merit List : Selection is purely merit-based, considering performance in the LEST.
  6. Results : Expected around May/June 2026 on the NVS websites.
