Selection Process |
Step 1 : Normalisation of Marks : Applications are shortlisted based on normalized marks obtained in the qualifying degree using formulae provided on the official website. Step 2 : Aggregate Mark Cut-offs : For BE/B.Tech candidates, marks up to the 5th semester are considered for shortlisting. For PG programmes (M.Sc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech), performance across all semesters (or pre-final year for final year students) is checked. Step 3 : Backlog Restriction : Candidates with any pending backlog at the time of document verification at SSB centers will be denied permission to appear. Step 4 : SSB Interview : Shortlisted applicants are notified via email/SMS to download their call-up letters for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. Step 5 : Medical Examination : SSB-recommended candidates must clear the applicable medical standards at designated military hospitals. Special tests like CPSS apply to Pilot entries. Step 6 : Merit List Compilation : The final merit list is prepared strictly based on SSB marks, subject to medical fitness and training slot availability.
