How to Apply

  • Visit the Official Website : Access the recruitment portal at https://joinindiannavy.gov.in.

  • Check Application Dates : Ensure you apply between 14 March (00:01 hrs) and 06 April, 2026 (17:00 hrs).

  • Register and Fill Details : Complete the online application form with accurate personal and educational information.

  • Upload Documents : Scan and upload original certificates, mark sheets, domicile certificates, and NCC certificates (if applicable).

  • Capture/Upload Photographs : Provide a recent passport-size photo (taken Mar 26 or later) where you are holding a black slate with your name and date written in white chalk, and complete the live webcam photo capture.

  • Select Exam Cities : Choose three preferred cities for the Stage-I Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET).

  • Pay Examination Fee : Pay the fee of ₹550 plus 18% GST through online net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.

  • Submit Application : Review all entered details for accuracy and submit the application before the deadline.

  • Monitor for Correction Window : If needed, utilize the 2-day correction window provided after the application closing date to fix any errors.

Selection Process

  • Stage I : INET Exam – Candidates appear for a computer-based Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) consisting of 100 objective questions across English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness.

  • Shortlisting – Candidates are shortlisted for Stage II based on their INET scores, with cut-offs determined state-wise.

  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Shortlisted candidates must pass mandatory physical standards, including a 1.6 km run, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups.

  • Stage II Written Exam – Those who pass the PFT sit for a second written examination following the same 100-question format as the INET.

  • Recruitment Medical Examination – Candidates who qualify the PFT and Stage II written exam undergo a medical assessment by authorized military doctors.

  • Provisional Selection & Merit List – A state-wise merit list is prepared based on performance in the Stage II written exam, subject to qualifying the PFT and Medicals.

  • Final Induction – Selected candidates report to INS Chilka for final Pre-Enrolment Medical formalities and document verification before commencing training.
